England: Day Two

Saturday, October 21: We landed in Manchester, went painlessly through customs and filled out all our lost luggage paperwork. Paul, Vicky and Bethanie picked us up in the minibus for a gorgeous drive through the Peak District to Loughborough. Great scenery, nice nap.

Once we got to Loughborough, we had tea at Tyler's and then had to go shopping, since most of us had packed no extra clothes in our carryons. So Primark, Boots and Dorothy Perkins called our names. We got to see the town on market day, too, so that was fun. The university was having a carnival, so we also met some interesting guys in town. Vick has her Christmas card for the year all ready to go.

After a few more errands, we went to the church for Scream, the youth night Loughborough has every other weekend. For some of us it was a chance to see friends from last year; for the rest of us it was a good chance to meet everyone. Fun times were had by all.

I am a happy star!

Is it sad that just the mention of Boots makes me insanely jealous? I think it must be, but there you have it.
